Congratulations on your DD! I love the work you did on all three lamps and the colored blotches you used! The colors and the detail are beautiful!

I've always been curious about glassmaking, especially one thing I'm seeing here: How does a glassmaker do that cracked texture I'm seeing in these three lamps?

The texture you see is an interaction between the colored chips and cane and clear glass, and a (secret) substance we roll the glass in before picking up the color, which changes the surface area of the glass and gives it the extreme shine, halos around the individual pieces in the color, and the golden/yellow sheen you see.
